ANSI Z87.1 is the American National Standard that covers the basic
requirements for personal eye and face protective devices to
minimize or prevent injuries from impact, non-ionizing radiation
and chemical agents in occupational, educational and military
environments.!
This Standard sets criteria related to the description, general
requirements, testing, marking, selection, care and use of these
protectors. !
All these products, meet or exceed all the optical, mechanical and
other requirements prescribed by ANSI Z87.1 and exceed also the
additional “+” requirements of Penetration (1.56 oz - 44.2 gm/50
in -127 cm) High Mass Impact (17.6 oz - 500 gr/50 in -127 cm) and
High Velocity Impact(150 ft/s -46 m/s resistance.!
