Weather conditions in Thredbo are still extreme!
Snow has covered the alps with a 20cm covering on the peaks and about 10-15cm in Thredbo village.
An intense low has formed bringing more snow overnight. NPWS has recommended that all backcountry travel be postponed until weather conditions improve, And that is exactly what 120 eager competitors are doing at mid camp in Tinaldra. XPD is still currently on hold until weather conditions improve!
A decision will be made today about when the race will recommence. The short break has re-energised the competitors and they are keen to get back out there.
